The Role

Prestolee Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Teaching Assistant Level 3 based at Mesne Lea Primary School, Walkden Road, Walkden, Manchester, M28 7FG. The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within an SEND setting and with pupils with speech and language difficulties. They will also have a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification.   


We are looking for a person who has:

  • Proven outstanding experience/practice as a Teaching Assistant Level 3
  • Proven experience in SEN and working with pupils with speech and language difficulties
  • Speech and Language qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of teaching groups of pupils at primary level
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • Excellent skills in team working
  • Excellent skills in working with children
  • Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • A desire for career development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
